This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect information when you use the TryOns Discord bot.

This document is written for users, server owners, and server administrators. It is not a substitute for independent legal advice.

1. Who we are

TRYONS LOGISTICS LTD operates the TryOns Discord bot.

For UK data protection purposes, TRYONS LOGISTICS LTD is the controller for personal data we decide how and why to process. Discord, ElevenLabs, hosting providers, and other third-party services may also act as separate controllers or processors depending on the context.

2. Scope

This policy applies to use of the TryOns Discord bot, including text-to-speech, voice cloning, uploaded voice, generated audio, Discord voice-channel playback, and related support or abuse-reporting processes.

Discord's own privacy policy also applies to your use of Discord. Third-party provider policies, including ElevenLabs where applicable, may also apply when those services process voice or audio data.

3. Information we collect

Depending on how the bot is used, we may process the following categories of information:

• **Discord account information:** Discord user IDs, usernames, display names, and related identifiers.
• **Discord server and channel information:** server/guild IDs, channel IDs, and information needed to operate the bot in Discord.
• **Command and interaction data:** commands such as /say, /record, /upload, and /help, plus technical metadata needed to respond to those commands.
• **Voice and audio data:** voice samples uploaded for cloning, generated audio files, voice IDs, voice names, and related metadata.
• **Support and abuse report data:** information you send to us when requesting help, reporting abuse, reporting impersonation, or asking for deletion.
• **Technical and security data:** timestamps, error information, rate-limit information, and other data needed to maintain, secure, debug, and protect the bot.

4. Information we do not currently store as separate logs

Based on the current bot setup:

• we do not store separate command logs as a routine feature;
• we do not store text-to-speech prompts as a separate database record;
• uploaded voice samples are sent to ElevenLabs and are not stored by Tryons as separate uploaded sample files;
• we do not sell user data;
• we do not share Discord data with advertisers or data brokers;
• we do not use Discord data to train AI models.

Even where we do not store a prompt separately, text may still be processed temporarily to generate audio, may be sent to third-party providers such as ElevenLabs, and may be reflected in generated audio output.

5. Voice data

Voice data can be personal data because it may identify or imitate a real person.

Users may upload voice samples and create voice clones. Users must only upload or use voices where they have the right to do so. This means the voice must be their own voice, or they must have explicit permission from the voice owner, or another lawful right to use the voice.

We may disable, delete, restrict, or investigate a voice if we believe it was uploaded without permission, used for impersonation, or used in a harmful, deceptive, illegal, or abusive way.

6. How we use information

We use information to:

• operate the bot and provide text-to-speech, voice cloning, and generated audio features;
• allow the bot to join voice channels and play generated audio;
• connect Discord users, servers, channels, and voices to requested bot actions;
• process voice samples and generated audio through providers such as ElevenLabs;
• respond to support requests, deletion requests, and abuse reports;
• prevent, detect, and investigate impersonation, unauthorized voice cloning, scams, harassment, and other misuse;
• enforce our Terms of Service;
• debug errors, improve reliability, and maintain security;
• comply with legal obligations and platform requirements.

7. Lawful bases for processing

Where UK GDPR or similar data protection law applies, we rely on one or more of the following lawful bases:

• **Contract:** to provide the bot and requested features.
• **Consent:** where you upload or authorize use of voice samples, especially for voice cloning.
• **Legitimate interests:** to operate, secure, debug, improve, and protect the bot; prevent abuse; investigate reports; and enforce our Terms.
• **Legal obligation:** where we must process, retain, or disclose information to comply with law.

For voice cloning, the core rule is simple: no permission, no clone.

8. Sharing information

We may share or process information with:

• **Discord:** to operate the bot on Discord and comply with Discord rules or reporting processes.
• **ElevenLabs:** to provide text-to-speech, voice cloning, voice processing, and generated audio features.
• **Pebblehost:** to host and operate the bot and related storage.
• **Payment providers:** if paid or premium features are introduced in the future.
• **Professional advisers, authorities, law enforcement, regulators, rights holders, or safety teams:** where necessary to investigate abuse, comply with law, protect users, enforce rights, or respond to legal requests.

We do not sell user data. We do not share Discord data with advertisers or data brokers.

9. Retention

We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy.

Current and intended retention approach:

• **Uploaded voice samples:** not stored by Tryons as separate uploaded files; they are sent to ElevenLabs for voice features.
• **Voice IDs and voice metadata:** kept while needed to provide the voice feature, unless deletion is requested or retention is needed for abuse, legal, or security reasons.
• **Generated audio files:** kept temporarily to provide playback and troubleshoot issues. Unless a different retention period is published, we aim to delete or anonymise generated audio within 30 days, unless longer retention is needed for abuse investigation, legal compliance, or security.
• **TTS text/prompts:** not stored as separate routine records by Tryons, although prompts may be processed temporarily and may be reflected in generated audio.
• **Command logs:** not stored as separate routine logs by Tryons.
• **Discord user IDs, server/guild IDs, channel IDs, usernames, and display names:** kept while needed to operate the bot, connect users to voice features, handle support, and prevent abuse.
• **Support, deletion, and abuse reports:** kept for as long as needed to handle the request, protect users, enforce our Terms, and maintain reasonable records of the outcome.
• **Payment records:** if paid features are introduced, billing records may be kept as needed for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, chargeback handling, and legal compliance.

If the technical implementation changes, this retention section should be updated.

10. Deletion requests

The bot does not currently provide an automated /delete command.

To request deletion of your data or a voice associated with you, email david@tryons.net. Include enough information for us to identify the relevant Discord account, server, voice, or generated audio.

We may need to keep limited information where required for legal, security, abuse-prevention, dispute, or accounting reasons.

11. Abuse and impersonation reports

The bot does not currently provide an automated /report command.

To report unauthorized voice cloning, impersonation, fraud, harassment, or other misuse, email david@tryons.net.

Where possible, include the Discord server name or ID, user ID or username, approximate date and time, generated audio or command involved, and why you believe the use was unauthorized or harmful.

If someone credibly claims their voice was cloned or used without permission, we may disable the relevant voice or restrict access while reviewing the report.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, including hosting controls, access restrictions, provider security features, and abuse-response processes.

No online service is completely secure. You should not submit private, confidential, highly sensitive, regulated, or legally privileged information to the bot unless you accept the risks of doing so.

13. International transfers

Discord, ElevenLabs, Pebblehost, and other providers may process information in countries outside the United Kingdom or your country of residence.

Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards or provider arrangements for international transfers.

14. Children and age requirements

The bot is not intended for users who do not meet Discord's minimum age requirements in their country or region.

Users must comply with Discord's age rules. We do not knowingly allow unlawful or unsafe voice cloning of children.

15. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

• access your personal data;
• correct inaccurate personal data;
• request deletion;
• restrict processing;
• object to processing;
• request portability;
• withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
• complain to a data protection authority.

If you are in the United Kingdom, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office if you believe your data protection rights have been violated.

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted at the policy URL with a new "Last updated" date.
